Set behind a picturesque cold-climate garden Hounslow Lodge is a well-appointed and charming house located in a quiet residential street, a stones  throw from Blackheath village.  Used as a school house until the 1960's, this late 19th century house has been transformed into quality heritage accommodation.  It is an ideal Blue Mountains retreat for up to two couples if you are looking for a quiet and convenient break from the bustle of daily life.  The town is famous for its superb rhododendron displays, the magnificent northerly views at Govetts Leap and the bushwalks around the edges of the Grose Valley.  Only five minutes walk from Blackheath village and the railway station, Hounslow Lodge provides easy access to these famous upper Blue Mountains attractions as well as the many restaurants and antique shops in the area.  Hounslow Lodge is only ideal for one or two couples and is not suitable for  children.  The sleeping areas are well separated ensuring complete privacy.  A continental breakfast is supplied for the first morning.  Visit the Hounslow Lodge website for more information and photo tour at www.hounslowlodge.com

Bedroom details:

Bedroom 1 - Main bedroom with Queen bed, bedside tables, lamps,  clock radio, small oil heater, large built-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom.

Bedroom 2 - Two Single beds with electric heater.

Downstairs is a pull down full size Queen Bed (no electric blanket).

Linen:

LINEN SUPPLIED - This includes Doona's, blankets, pillows, sheets, pillow slips, 1 towel each, 2 bathrobes, face washers, bathmats and tea towels.

Bathroom:

Bathroom 1 - Downstairs main bathroom with large shower, toilet, overhead heating and heated towel rack.

Bathroom 2 - Upstairs ensuite with large shower, toilet, overhead heating and heated towel rack.

Lounge Room:

Well-appointed with antique furniture, TV/DVD, Austar, quality sound system, high ceiling, pull down full-size queen bed for easy conversion to private domain overlooking the lavender garden.  Internet access available on request.

Kitchen:

Fully equipped granite kitchen opening onto private courtyard.  Contains fridge, oven, stove, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Dining:

Antique Australian cedar dining table with 6 chairs looking onto the front garden, high ceiling, slow combustion fireplace with one basket of wood supplied, gas heater and a quality sound system

Laundry:
Washing machine, dryer, laundry tub, ironing facilities and outdoor clothes line.

Heating:

Slow combustion wood fireplace with one basket of wood supplied plus oil and gas heaters.  LIMITED WOOD SUPPLIED

Single lock up garage with automatic door.  Ample on and off street parking.

A complimentary continental breakfast is supplied on the first morning.

At time of booking you can arrange for internet access during your stay at a cost of $30.

At the same time you can arrange picnic lunches if you are going bush walking or for other activities.  We can also have a gourmet food platter in the fridge for your arrival.   We are also happy to meet any special requests where possible, just ask.
