Mountain Lodge is an authentic weatherboard Blackheath cottage built in 1900, now tastefully refurbished to provide modern comforts and a true Blue Mountains holiday experience. Set in a peaceful street on the edge of the Kanimbla Valley with glorious bush walks just metres away, it offers a relaxing and refreshing break from city life. Stylishly decorated, Mountain Lodge provides superb living areas for guests to unwind and read, watch TV, or listen to music, with the background ambiance of a slow combustion wood fire place. With enormous picture windows on both sides, the lounge room is the perfect place to settle into after an afternoon walk, with light flooding the room all day. Alternatively the kitchen/dining room opens on two sides through French doors to a huge landscaped entertaining area and a tranquil, private fenced garden. Partially covered, this is the ideal place for relaxing with a drink before a BBQ dinner, or an evening with friends around the brazier. The large main bedroom is equipped with a comfy Queen size bed, and has french doors leading out to a side verandah shaded by ornamental pear trees. The second bedroom, equally large, has two single beds, whilst the third bedroom contains a Queen bed. The kitchen is modern and the adjoining dining area has a large table and French antique chairs. The bathroom was renovated in 2010 and provides marble floors and an enormous bath with shower over. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this special pocket of Blackheath with black cockatoos overhead along with the occasional hang glider! Mountain Lodge is only minutes away from the start of the Porters Pass walk, and an easy twenty minute walk to town. Bedroom Details: Bedroom 1 - Queen bed with electric blanket, clock radio, bedside tables, lamps, dressing table, wardrobe, chair and rug. Bedroom 2 - 2 Single beds with electric blankets, bedside tables, lamps, dressing table, wardrobe, blanket box and rug. Bedroom 3 - Queen bed, chest of draws, side table , lamp, and rug. Linen: BED LINEN AND TOWELS SUPPLIED - This includes Doona's with covers, blankets, pillows, sheets, pillow slips, 1 towel each, bathmat(s) and tea towels. Bathroom: Bathroom - Shower over bath, vanity, toilet, heated towel rail and hair dryer. This room also contains a concealed laundry. Lounge Rm: 2 x 2 seater lounges, chair, 2 side tables, TV, DVD player, CD player/radio with I-pod dock, PlayStation 2 with games, TV stand, bookcase, chest, rug and Slow Combustion wood fire place. Kitchen: Cabinets and pantry with island bench and timber bench tops. Dishwasher, gas stove, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster. Crockery and cutlery for 6, cooking utensils. Dining: Large table and 6 antique upholstered chairs. 2 seater lounge and matching chair, floor lamp, occasional table, rug. Laundry: The laundry is located in a concealed cupboard in the Bathroom and contains a washing machine, iron facilities and a clothes airer. There is also an outdoor clothesline. Heating/Cooling: Natural Gas Central Heating and a Slow Combustion wood fire place. Pets: Well behaved pets allowed. Parking: Off street parking for 2 cars.
